In August, a mysterious series of robberies targeted supermarket employees in the Vienna districts of Simmering, Meidling and Ottakring.
Damage in the five-figure range
The previously unknown suspect always followed the same pattern: According to the Vienna police, he entered the supermarket, threatened the affected employees with a knife and demanded all their money. Then he quickly left the store.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the three robberies; the attacker left shocked employees and an as-yet unknown identity behind. Based on the secured video recordings, it could at least be determined that the robberies were always committed by the same man.
Supermarket robbers still on the run
The police are urgently looking for witnesses who may have more information about the identity of the suspect. What is known so far is that the unknown man is about 20 to 30 years old and is about 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall. The supermarket robber also has black hair, a black cap and a slim build.
