A tragic accident dampened the spirits of the thousands of Harley-Davidson fans at the 26th Bike Week in Faak am See: a couple from Burgenland died in a head-on crash. His great-niece is now asking on Facebook for a few bikes to come to the funeral.
It was not only a shock for all Harley fans, but for the whole of Austria when a married couple, both 63 years old, died in a head-on crash during Bike Week. The tragedy happened last Friday on a federal road near Rosegg (Carinthia).
“For reasons still unknown, a motorcyclist with his companion on the passenger ended up on the left side of the road in a right-hand bend and collided head-on with an oncoming car,” the police reported. Despite first aid measures, all help came too late.
As the deceased’s great-niece writes on Facebook, they were supposed to meet each other shortly afterwards in Velden, but then fate struck. Now she asks on Facebook that Harley fans pay their last respects to her great-uncle and his wife.
The funeral will take place on Friday, September 13 at 3:00 PM in the Oberwart district.
