Since the weekend, there has been no trace of a Bulgarian hiker in Tyrol’s Zillertal. Various searches have so far been unsuccessful. The operation continued on Wednesday; a police helicopter is also circling above the search area.
On Sunday, relatives reported the 34-year-old Bulgarian missing to the police in Schwaz. According to current findings, the hiker was supposedly near the Olpererhütte/Schlegeis-Stausee suspension bridge on Saturday. From there, he is said to have sent a photo to relatives.
There were fears of an accident, the search continued
Since then, there have been no signs of life from the 34-year-old. Various searches have yielded nothing so far. A new operation was launched on Wednesday, in which the mountain rescue service and the Libelle Tirol police helicopter participated.
Hoping for clues
Relatives and friends of the kidnapper are also hoping to get information via Facebook and other social media channels. Several alpine pastures and huts in the region shared the appeal (see post above).
