Due to the bank closure, the angry message is followed by an apology

Date:

After an 81-year-old testified about age discrimination and a lack of customer service at his banking institution in Burgenland, BAWAG now regrets the inconvenience, which is unfortunately essential.

An 81-year-old pensioner who stood in front of the closed doors of his bank in Oberwart on Saturday was very angry. In an angry message that the pensioner left on the door of the bank branch, age discrimination and a lack of customer service were discussed. The bank itself initially did not want to comment on the case, but has now responded after the report in the Kronen Zeitung.

Bank regrets the inconvenience
We regret the inconvenience caused to customers due to the renovation of the Central Square branch, at the alternative location of the bank branch. It was also emphasized that customers were informed in advance that there were no 24-hour opening hours due to the circumstances in the alternative accommodation.

“We also want to offer customers the best possible service during the renovation, but of course there are restrictions to be expected, for which we apologize, but which are unfortunately essential,” says BAWAG.

New opening and involvement with the location
From 19 September, the usual 24-hour service will be available again in the completely renovated bank office. It also states that BAWAG wants to make a clear commitment to the Oberwart location with the renovation – the aim of the investment in the renovation is to offer the best service and high-quality advice and to offer personal advisory services in the city centre.
