On Friday at 21:38, the fire brigade was called out for the first storm operation in Upper Austria. Since then, the river level has continued to rise due to the persistent rain and the number of fire brigade operations has increased in the course of Saturday morning. The first warning limits have already been reached.

On Saturday, persistent rain will continue in Upper Austria. The focus of the precipitation will be in the southern parts of the country and in the lower Mühlviertel. The water levels in local waters have already risen sharply and will rise further.

Local flooding is possible everywhere on small and medium-sized waters. Early warning limits will be exceeded on Saturday afternoon at the Danube gauges in Mauthausen and Grein.

Pre-warning limit reached
The water levels on the Inn and Danube will continue to rise sharply during the day. At the Linz measuring point, the early warning limit is forecast to be exceeded in the early hours of Sunday morning. The warning limit will also be reached on the Schärding/Inn railway this afternoon.

Levels keep rising
A further rise is predicted. The water level in the Enns has exceeded the warning limit at the Steyr/Ortskai gauge and is still rising. The Traun in Ebelsberg exceeded alarm level 1 during the night and in Bad Ischl the first flood level was exceeded on Saturday morning. In Grünau the mountain pasture exceeded the flood limit on Saturday.

The first flood values ​​were also shown in Kirchdorf near Krems. In the Mühlviertel floods are reported on the Feldaist and the Schwarzen Aist.
