Shocking and painful incident for a 12-year-old girl on Saturday afternoon in Mieming in Tyrol. The student was bitten in the lower leg by an elderly woman’s dog. Police are now looking for witnesses.
The young Tyrolean sat with a friend on a scooter at the swimming lake in Untermieming shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday. The two girls were approached by an elderly lady with a dog who was leading them on a leash, police said.
Suddenly the four-legged friend ran up to the two and bit the 12-year-old in the lower leg. “The lady then briefly apologized to the girls and left the scene of the incident,” the director said. The student was seriously injured by the dog bite and had to be taken to hospital in Zams after first aid.
Witnesses to the incident are now asked to contact the police in Silz on 059133/7107.
