Ten days after a traffic accident in the Lungau in Salzburg, a 79-year-old died in hospital on Wednesday. On September 8, the man drove his car into the opposite lane in Seetal near the Tamsweg and collided head-on with the car of a 33-year-old Slovak.
The 79-year-old German suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Klagenfurt State Hospital, where he died on Wednesday, police said Thursday afternoon.
More than 50 helpers present
The Slovak and his 46-year-old passenger were also injured and the two were taken to Tamsweg Hospital. More than 50 emergency workers from various aid organizations were involved in treating the injured and recovering the completely damaged vehicles.
