Russia and China remain suspiciously silent with highly reserved reactions to the American attack on Iran. There are good reasons for this, both countries in Iran have their own interests …
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaks about an “irresponsible decision” that violates international law in a first statement according to the American attacks on the Iranian nuclear systems. The response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing is very similar, in which the attacks are “sharply convicted”. The parties in the conflict, “especially Israel”, should set the fire.
President Putin and XI did not respond at all.
Why reserved?
Both do not want to arm nuclear, and that is why the American strokes are actually suitable, but are also very interested in the fact that there is no change in regime in Iran. However, the message that US President Trump broadcasted after the massive attacks on the Iranian nuclear facilities was not misunderstood and a very clear threat to the Mullah regime in Tehran: “Remember, there are still many goals!”
No less escalating Iran’s answer: Minister of Foreign Affairs Araghtschi spoke about “shameful” events that would “have permanent consequences”. Iran reserves the right to protect his sovereignty, interests and its people in accordance with the right to self -defense. The United States understand “only the language of violence”.
In fact, the Americans have stationed around 40,000 soldiers on different bases in the region that can be attacked by Iran. In recent weeks, however, the United States has expanded its air defense capacities around these military facilities enormously. Tehran could also rely on attack by the Iran Allied Huthi Militia from Yemen.
