Not an everyday accident in which the driver was injured: when a car was driving in Styria’s Gratwein-Straßengel on Saturday, a tree fell on the moving car!
The driver was injured. However, if there had been a passenger in the car, the consequences could have been much worse, according to the fire service. The tree hit the car as it drove past.
Fifteen firefighters deployed in three vehicles to provide assistance under Fire Chief Hannes Koch. “When the fire service arrived, the rescue service had just placed the injured driver in the ambulance,” the operations manager said.
The tree was removed using a telescopic handler (TL) and chainsaws before the vehicle could be collected by a towing company.
