Foreman and thief – this “job description” applies to a Welser. The 32-year-old is said to have stolen materials such as iron poles, construction fences, iron pieces, tiles and the like from his own construction sites and then sold them on. Now he flew open.
As has become known, the State Criminal Investigation Department arrested Welser (32) at the end of February 2024 – but then for violations under the Narcotic Substances Act. It was only in the course of subsequent investigations that suspicions arose of several thefts on construction sites.
Stolen goods are resold
The investigation eventually came to light: the 32-year-old is said to have stolen from nine construction sites between June 2022 and January 2024, where he worked as a foreman. According to the police, the foreman is said to have had materials such as iron poles, construction fences, iron bars, rubble chutes and tiles removed.
The Welser is said to have then sold the stolen goods to various buyers. The 32-year-old will be reported to the Wels public prosecutor’s office.
