A dangerous incident occurred on the sidelines of a folk festival in Bavaria on Monday, when the driver of a car allegedly deliberately drove into a group of walkers.
According to a report by bild.de, at least four people were injured in Großwallstadt in the Miltenberg district of Lower Franconia, including a ten-year-old child. The 58-year-old driver had to be resuscitated after the collision.
While the driver was initially suspected of a medical emergency, police now apparently see the full intent behind the maneuver. According to reports, eyewitness accounts also point to this.
The victims had just pushed a mobile table onto the street. Instead of swerving, the Ford Mondeo raced straight towards the group.
