Fire alarm at Vienna’s main station, where a small fire raged in the garage on Saturday morning: the Vienna professional fire brigade was on site and the main station had to be evacuated.
The Viennese fire brigade had to deploy several vehicles to the fire at Vienna’s Central Station on Saturday. All travelers had to leave the building.
“When we are deployed to the central station, we must always stay on the safe side and arrive with several vehicles. In addition, alarm level 2 automatically applies,” explains Jürgen Figerl from the professional fire brigade “Krone”.

A small fire in the building’s garage was quickly located and extinguished with a bucket sprayer. “No one has ever been in danger,” assures Figerl. No vehicles were damaged either. The operation was terminated after approximately 30 minutes.
