Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia says it has again attacked Israel’s coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv with drones.
The Israeli military said on Thursday it had intercepted a drone off the coast of the Tel Aviv region. Another drone fell into open ground.
Here you can see how the drones are being repelled:
The Houthis said the drones had achieved their target. The militia used the supposedly new drones called ‘Jaffa’, which spokesperson Yahya Sari first spoke about in July. Tel Aviv is about 1,800 kilometers from Yemen. There was a rocket alert in the city of Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
“Jaffa” can penetrate the interception system
The Houthi militia flew a drone loaded with explosives towards Tel Aviv in July. A house in the center of the city was hit. One man was killed and several other people were injured. Sari said at the time that the new Jaffa drone could penetrate interception systems and would not be detected by radar systems.
