It has since been revealed that it was a false alarm, according to the police. When the police officers arrived at the apartment on Salzachstrasse, they found only one woman who was unaware of the entire incident. After a thorough search, no man with a gun could be found.

The large-scale operation has already ended. Until now, it has not been possible to determine who made the wrong emergency call to the police.
