Painful encounter for a German hiker Monday in the Tyrolean Stubai Valley: The 64-year-old was jumped from behind by a cow, after which the woman fell into a ditch and was trampled by the animal. After the dew rescue, the holidaymaker was flown to the clinic.
According to the police, the painful incident took place in Mieders shortly after 11 a.m. The 64-year-old walked with her husband on a forest path towards Ochsenhütte when they passed several young cows and at least two suckler cows. “According to the current state of the investigation, the couple tried to avoid the animals as much as possible,” the police said.
Sucker rose to woman
But then it happened. “A cow may have jumped on the 64-year-old from behind, causing the woman to fall into a ditch. The cow should have climbed on the walker there,” the researchers continued.
The injured were rescued with a rope by the rescue helicopter and then flown to the Innsbruck clinic. She suffered bruises and bruises in the incident, but was able to leave the hospital the same day.
