A 17-year-old driver ended up with his car in the Fuscher Ache in Pinzgau (Salzburg) on Saturday evening. Fortunately, the driver and his two passengers were able to free themselves from the car.
The driver was injured after the accident and was taken to the Tauern Clinic in Zell am See. The two other prisoners were also taken to hospital for observation. An alcohol test on the driver was negative, police reported.
Lost control
According to his own statements, the 17-year-old had to avoid a deer with the vehicle and then crashed the car into a guardrail. The driver lost control of the car, the car fell over an embankment and came to a stop in the Fuscher Ache.
The car was rescued from the Ache by the Niedernsill and Mittersill water rescue service in cooperation with the local fire brigade and a crane using a cable winch, the Salzburg water rescue service reported.
