“Human Safari” – Russians carry out drone attacks on civilians

Date:

Russian soldiers are said to be hunting civilians in Kherson in southern Ukraine with drones equipped with grenades. Inexperienced drone pilots can practice with it for real missions. Frightened locals are calling the cowardly attacks a ‘human safari’.

The danger from above is omnipresent in Kherson – a video published on The victim is unsuspectingly driving his car when a grenade pierces the windshield and explodes.

“Good practice for young drone pilots”
The driver then jumps out of the car – blood can be seen on the asphalt. Russian military bloggers would comment on such footage as follows: “This is a good exercise for young drone pilots to improve their skills and prepare for real combat missions,” as Gerashenko reports on X.

Gerashenko’s message on X:

“Drones are a real nuisance to Kherson. Everyone is a target,” Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the military administration of Kherson Oblast, told the Kyiv Independent. “It affects people who walk, drive or cycle, go to work or stand in front of supermarkets.”

Up to 330 drone attacks in one day
In July and August 2024, there were an average of 100 drone attacks per day. The news platform TSN reported on September 9 about a sad record: 330 drone attacks and 224 explosives were dropped that day alone.

This article shows further drone attacks:

First responders are tracked by drones
The drone pilots fly the plane from the other side of the Dnipro River, where Moscow still controls large parts of the area. First a reconnaissance drone is sent, then FPV drones (first-person view) are used. “She drops a grenade. Or a Coca-Cola can with explosives,” a local doctor describes the tactic. First responders would also be attacked. According to the doctor, she was also followed several times by drones while en route to an operational site.
