Solidarity Visit – Hollywood Star Ben Stiller in the War Zone


American film star Ben Stiller (56) visited Ukraine as special ambassador for the UN refugee agency UNHCR and met President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He took the opportunity to call for solidarity with the refugees.

“Ukrainians feel the support of the whole world, many famous people. And Ben Stiller’s visit confirms that again,” Zelenskyj wrote on Instagram on Monday evening. He also posted a video showing the two encounters.

Difficult passage through Irpin
wanted to meet people in Ukraine who had to flee because of the war and who had lost everything, as he said earlier in Kiev. The actor visited the Kiev suburb of Irpin, which was heavily damaged by Russian troops.

Called on the occasion of World Refugee Day quieter (“Night at the Museum”) for global solidarity. “War and violence are destroying people around the world,” he said on Instagram. “No one just flees their home. Seeking protection is a right that must be granted to all people.”
