A playlist for the demo “Foreigners Out!” or a birthday party on April 20? No problem. There are numerous right-wing extremist and fascist songs on Spotify. But the Swedish company ignores the problem. Krone+ asked the Office for the Protection of the Constitution what was going on.
They sing about their ‘house in flames’, which is supposedly threatened by asylum seekers, wish for ‘the good old days back’, loudly demand ‘Antifa shut up’ or call themselves ‘deportation masters’. Their songs can be found in playlists with names like ‘Love of Homeland and National Pride’, ‘German Youth Forward’ or ‘One People, One Reich, One Leader’. Imperial flags and other relevant motifs serve as cover images. In short: Nazis, right-wing extremists and fascists celebrate their happy origins on Spotify.
