A “very unusual” event occurred when a herd of goats went missing in Tyrol’s Sellraintal. She has been missing for several weeks. Individual goats have since returned. The case is mysterious.
An entire herd of goats has been missing in the Tyrolean Sellraintal for weeks. At the beginning of August, the animals disappeared from a farm in Gries im Sellrain, according to a report from ORF Tirol on Thursday. Despite searches including drone flights and thermal imaging cameras, the herd has not yet been discovered. The fact that an entire herd, in this case consisting of 17 goats, was lost was “very unusual”, said hunter Johann Haselwanter.
The case is a mystery
The case confuses the local hunting community. In August, a single goat returned apparently completely disturbed, said farmer Ingrid Schlögl. The herd also included several fawns. The fact that a goat returns to the field without children is “completely atypical”. Meanwhile, Schlögl still hoped to find the animals, which were probably somewhere in the mountains.
