A fatal shooting occurred in the United States on Saturday. In Mississippi, at least two people opened fire on a group of people celebrating after a school football game, according to media reports. At least three people were killed and eight others were injured.
The shooting followed an argument between several young men, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office told The Mirror US. Officials do not yet know what sparked the argument.

The shooting, which occurred about two miles outside of Lexington, Mississippi, followed a football game several hours earlier during Holmes County Consolidated School’s homecoming celebration.
Victims between 19 and 25 years old
Lexington is located more than 60 miles north of Jackson.
Two of the deceased victims were 19 years old, the third was 25 years old. The injured victims were taken by plane to local hospitals.
“It was pure chaos”
“Between 200 and 300 people celebrated the school’s victory in an outdoor area – just hours after the end of the game. The shots caused them to flee,” the sheriff’s office reported. He added: “It was pure chaos, to tell you the truth. The shooting just started and people started running.”
