Police have left – Loud party in Vienna Museum furious residents

Date:

Wednesday night there was a lot of partying in the Wien Museum – which is not even open yet – which apparently caused a lot of noise nuisance for the residents. Police were warned three times until officials are said to have “finally” left. A video by a reporter who reads aloud shows revelers partying on the patio at night.

On Tuesday afternoon, the topping-out ceremony took place in the Wien Museum on Karlsplatz. About two years after the controversial renovation and expansion of the museum had started. In order to properly celebrate the new two-storey top floor, the party apparently went on well into the night.

Police warned several times
However, all this happened to the chagrin of some residents who felt disturbed by the ongoing noise pollution and alerted the police. However, the police did not leave until the third call due to “internal staff shortages”, as a reader of “Krone” describes.

According to the press service of the Wien Museum, it was an official, internal event. There were also no incidents of police operations, it said for the time being.

Night usage registered
As the “Krone” learned from the Vienna police, the police operation in the case took place around 11:45 p.m.: the officers were “alertled about party noise,” police spokeswoman Barbara Gass told krone.at.

The situation was clarified: “No police action had to be taken.”
