A family in Ludmannsdorf (Carinthia) was desperately searching for their missing cat “Schnurli”. They were starting to lose hope when suddenly a soft meow sounded in the garage.
When Schnurli gave this sign of life, neighbors were visiting. The Ludmannsdorf fire brigade was immediately alerted. “The cat was found behind a tool cabinet with the help of a special tracking camera,” the fire brigade reports. “We had to partially dismantle the cabinet.”
Then the tool cabinet was lifted with rescue scissors – it was possible for Schnurli to find the way to freedom. “The tomcat was friendly and in surprisingly good physical condition,” the fire brigade said happily. Schnurli had lost weight from almost five to almost two and a half kilos, which made the food provided after the rescue tasted even better.
