Due to the sudden braking of a preceding Audi, a 27-year-old motorist who followed him ended up with his vehicle upside down in the stream bed on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday evening at around 7:50 pm, a 27-year-old motorist drove in Dornbirn on the L 200 from the Achrain tunnel towards the Dornbirn North roundabout. Ahead of him, the driver of a white Audi drove in the same direction. At kilometer 0.2, the driver of the Audi suddenly stopped on the road for no apparent reason. The 27-year-old following him had to brake hard and at the same time swerved to the right to avoid a collision.
As a result of the abrupt driving maneuver, the man lost control of the vehicle, left the lane, rolled over and came to rest on his roof in the creek beside the road. The 27-year-old suffered injuries of unknown nature and had to be taken by ambulance to Dornbirn Hospital.
His car was badly damaged. The driver of the white Audi apparently could not care about the accident. Undaunted, he continued on his journey.
