Once again there is a woman on the mission
Wang Haoze is the third woman to fly into space for the People’s Republic. She is currently the only female aerospace engineer in China, according to the official Xinhua news agency. Liu Yang and Wang Yaping were part of the crew of previous ‘Shenzhou’ missions and last flew into space in 2022.

The crew of the “Shenzhou-19” replaces the astronauts of the “Shenzhou 18” mission who have been living on the “Tiangong” since the end of April. The three men will arrive back on Earth on November 4. As the space agency also announced, China is planning two more ‘Shenzhou’ missions and the ‘Tianzhou 9’ resupply mission in the coming year.

Manned lunar flight planned for 2030
Beijing has long invested heavily in its space program. China wants to complete a manned moon mission by 2030. This year, for the first time in human history, scientists also managed to transport soil samples from the difficult-to-reach far side of the moon to Earth.
