A few days before the US presidential elections, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg described Republican Donald Trump as the most dangerous candidate. At the same time, she criticized the current US administration for its Middle East policy.
There is no doubt that “one of the candidates – Trump – is much more dangerous than the other,” Thunberg said.
At the same time, “the genocide in Palestine” is taking place under the eyes of the administration of US President Joe Biden and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris “with the money and support of the US,” she criticized.
It is in no way “feminist” or “progressive” to bomb innocent children and civilians – “it’s the opposite, even if a woman is in charge,” the 21-year-old explained, referring to Harris.
Call for votes
Thunberg stressed that it was “probably impossible to overestimate the consequences of these elections for the world and for the future of humanity.” She called on American citizens not only to go to the polls, but also to use protests and boycotts against the “catastrophic consequences of American imperialism.”
