In Eisbach, north of Graz, two cows were lucky on Wednesday morning: they fell through the stable floor into a cavity. However, the fire brigade was able to free her unharmed.
The farmer was not even aware of the hollow space under the stable. On Wednesday morning, two cows suddenly broke through the ground and the farmer could not free them himself. He therefore alerted the Eisbach-Rein volunteer fire brigade.
They responded with a fire truck and a large animal rescue kit, specially designed for indoor use. The vet and the farmer himself also helped, and together they eventually managed to free the two cows from their predicament. Fortunately they were unharmed.
