One of the chickens of a family in Müllendorf in Burgenland has escaped. Now they are desperately looking for the chicken. The other two chickens, “Elfriede” and “Henriette”, are already waiting for “Hildegard”.
“Hildegard, the chicken” seems very freedom-loving. The German Sperber hen escaped from the garden of the Edl family from Müllendorf and has been missing ever since.
Over the garden fence
On Monday, while the residents of the house were away, the chicken must have seen the opportunity and fluttered over the garden gate. “We suspect she ran toward the forest,” the family said.
It’s not the first time the hen has wanted to explore the vast expanses beyond the yard. Before that, she had “stormed” twice, but was able to be caught again. This time, however, she was not found.
Further Corona chickens
The family had bought “Hildegard” together with two other hens during Corona. The other two chickens also have sounding names like “Elfriede” and “Henriette”. “Hildegard” is said to be the “heaviest” of the three. The family, and especially the daughter, now hope for help in the search.
