Serious accident Thursday in the Tyrolean Wipptal: Because there was no room to avoid it, a truck and a car collided in the vicinity of Gries am Brenner. Two 19-year-old women were injured and taken to hospital.
The head-on collision took place around 2.50 pm on a municipal road in Gries. A 50-year-old resident was driving his truck out of the valley when a 19-year-old resident drove a car toward him on a sharp left turn.
Avoiding evasion
An evasive maneuver was not possible in the narrow road section, the two vehicles collided head on. The driver and her passenger (19) were seriously injured. They were transferred to the Halle Hospital. The truck driver was not injured.
