  • According to a recent survey, the majority of Austrians are against an accelerated enlargement of the EU because of the war in Ukraine.
  • Warnings are coming from Ukraine for a hasty return of the roughly five million war refugees in Europe.
  • In addition to Nord Stream, Russia has also throttled the flow of gas to Europe on numerous other channels. All in all, significantly less gas is coming to Europe – also significantly less than usual at this time of year.
  • Ahead of the G7 summit, the United States announced it would sell an additional $450 million worth of weapons to Ukraine.
