On Wednesday afternoon, a thick cloud of smoke could be seen from Palt in the Krems district. A vehicle was completely engulfed in flames at an exit of highway 37.
Around 4:50 p.m., the Florianis of the Palt volunteer fire brigade were warned of a fire. A vehicle completely burned out in the area of the B37/37a. When the emergency services arrived, the Florianis immediately started the first firefighting measures and the Krems volunteer fire brigade was alerted to supply water.
The fire brigades of Krems and Palt each provided a respiratory protection team to fight the fire. The burned-out car was then removed and the street was also cleaned. The FF Krems, FF Palt, police and rescue workers from the Krems Red Cross were on duty.
