About 180 Austrian women die from cervical cancer every year. And because a doctor from Upper Austria doubts the vaccination against this disease – and also other vaccinations – he has gotten into trouble. If the ‘worst case’ occurs, he could even be threatened with losing his driver’s license.
More than 60 new cases per year, about 30 deaths in Upper Austria, six times as many women in the entire country – cervical cancer is still ubiquitous ten years after the introduction of vaccination against the human papillomavirus (HPV) and therefore the main cause of this disease. On the international “Day for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer,” an online post from a colleague from the Vöcklabruck district caused the vast majority of doctors in Upper Austria to shake their heads.
From infertility to multiple sclerosis
In it he doubts the effectiveness and usefulness of this – and other vaccinations – and writes that HPV immunization can lead to infertility or neurological diseases up to multiple sclerosis as a side effect. To put it bluntly: a good immune system is better than vaccination.
