In an extremely daring scam, an unknown person in the Ausserfern robbed a 72-year-old of a very large amount of cash. The scam is not new, but older people keep falling for it.
Again, a fake police officer stole a lot of money from a pensioner. The man called a local resident (72) in Reutte around 3.30 pm on Thursday and said that a burglary was planned for her. He gave a phone number to call back.
Money deposited in trash
After the woman called the number and found the service number, she took a five-digit amount and deposited it in a garbage can in front of the house. Moments later, the money was gone. It was then no longer possible to contact the alleged police officer.
