Paul Teal passed away – Why pancreatic cancer is particularly treacherous

Date:

Pancreatic cancer is considered a rare but extremely aggressive and fatal form of cancer. “One Tree Hill” star Paul Teal recently died at the age of 35 from this insidious disease. An expert explains why the chance of recovery from this tumor is very small.

Hollywood star Patrick Swayze (1952-2009), star tenor Luciano Pavarotti (1939-2002), Apple boss Steve Jobs (1955-2011), magician Siegfried Fischbacher (1939-2021), Red Bull founder Didi Mateschitz (1944-2022) and 59-time Italian team player Gianluca Vialli (1964-2023) – countless celebrities died from this insidious disease.

Figures from Austria also show how poor the prognosis is for pancreatic cancer: In 2019, 1,829 people became ill and 1,789 died, reports Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Schindl from the Pancreatic Cancer Unit of MedUni Vienna reports. But what makes this cancer so dangerous?
