A 38-year-old man first drove his car in Zell am Pettenfirst in the Vöcklabruck district on Wednesday evening. On Wolfsegger Landesstraße he left the road to the right, crashed into a guardrail and flew about 25 meters through the air before crashing into a meadow, according to police.
The car then rolled over several times and came to a stop on its wheels about 40 meters later. The 38-year-old got out and walked away.
No driver’s license, but 1.42 per mille
Witnesses called 911. Police eventually found the driver about a mile away, where the 38-year-old told officers he was unharmed.
An alcohol test on the driver showed 1.42 per mille. When the officers wanted to revoke his driver’s license, they discovered: The 38-year-old no longer has a driver’s license. It had been taken from him before. The man is reported.
