The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for the Israeli Prime Minister on Thursday Benjamin Nentayahuand his former defense minister Yoav Galantfor allegedly committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip since at least October 8 last year, as outlined by the Hague court in a statement.
He also approved the arrest warrant Mohamed Diab al-Masriknown as ‘Abú Deif’, a high-ranking official Hamas considered head of the military wing after other previously identified Islamist leaders, including Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniye, lost their lives in Israeli operations in recent months. Israel also declared Mohamed Diab al Masri dead last June, although his death was never confirmed by the Islamist group.
The Public Prosecution Service had already requested the arrest of all of them last May, and now the International Criminal Court has taken the step.
