The skid of an Innviertler driver with his Mercedes on the snowy Weilharter Landesstraße (L 501) in Tarsdorf had fatal consequences on Friday morning. His car crashed into two trees and was completely destroyed. Unfortunately, the man could no longer be helped. He died at the scene of the accident.
It was around 7:45 am on Friday when the Innviertler drove his Mercedes from Tarsdorf towards Hochburg/Ach. After a long bend, he suddenly lost control of his car in a forest on a snowy road.
The car skidded on the side of the road, flew over an embankment and hit two huge trees. The front of the Mercedes was severely damaged and a wheel was torn off.
The driver, from Ostermiething, suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene of the accident. Unfortunately, paramedics and the emergency doctor were no longer able to help him. A policewoman had a seizure and had to be treated.
The fire brigade removed the destroyed car from the forest and handed it over to a towing company.
