A skiing accident took place in the Tyrolean winter sports resort of Sölden on Friday morning, seriously injuring a woman. Police are now looking for the second skier involved or possible eyewitnesses.
The accident took place around 10:30 am on the blue marked piste number 15 – in the Giggijoch area. The skier briefly lost control and collided with a skier coming from the left, causing her to fall and suffer a leg injury.

“The woman refused further assistance and allowed the unknown skier to continue descending,” police said. Only then did the companions of the injured inform the pister rescue team.
The woman was eventually taken to the valley, where she was then rescued and taken to a doctor.

The police are now hoping for possible witnesses and asking the unknown skier to come forward. He wore a yellow and black ski suit, had an English accent and a blond beard.
