Wild scenes in Tyrol – Krampuses surround and attack police officers

Date:

In Längenfeld in the Tyrolean Ötztal it was wild. First the Krampus caused mischief and damaged two vehicles. Then they got into an argument with the police. The officers were even surrounded and attacked.

The incident took place on Thursday evening. “During an unregistered Krampus activity in a car park in Längenfeld, Krampuses randomly stopped cars on the B186 and damaged the windshield and door handles of a car,” police said.

They tore the hubcaps off the rims of another car and damaged them.

Policewoman loudly insulted
During the search, officers were able to locate and question the group. “However, the men between the ages of 20 and 45 behaved unwillingly and aggressively.” A female police officer was loudly insulted by the Krampus. One of the men also refused to reveal his identity and tried to escape.

More patrols needed
“Two officers then held the man by both arms. As a result, five more Krampus surrounded the police officer and insulted them from different sides. They dragged the police officers away from their comrade. He was then able to escape.

“Thanks to a new patrol, the situation on site was finally calmed down and the identity of some Krampus was identified. Further research will follow.
