On Sunday night, the pre-Christmas peace in Bregenz was brutally disrupted. A dozen people, some of whom were heavily intoxicated, were denied entry to a nightclub, after which horrific scenes unfolded.
Shortly before midnight, the crowd wanted to enter the popular nightclub “Neptun” in the heart of the capital. However, due to a closed company, this was not accessible to everyone and therefore the director refused access. Suddenly, the woman was pushed against the wall by three men from the group and sexually assaulted with their hands.
Other members of the group intervened and tried to stop the disgusting spectacle. An argument broke out, which quickly turned into a wild brawl. Eventually a large police force arrived to take control of the situation.
Three injured, one arrested
Three men were injured during the scuffle; one had to be taken to the Bregenz State Hospital due to a suspected concussion and a profusely bleeding cut. A man who was also injured was briefly arrested due to his aggressive behavior.
Looking for witnesses
Because some group members had fled when the police arrived, the police are now asking any witnesses to the brawl for help and any other victims must also come forward.
