Due to a bomb threat received via email this weekend, the AHS-Wienwest school in Vienna-Penzing will be closed on Monday. On Monday evening, a police task force searched the building with dogs. No suspicious items have been found so far.
When a father reported to the “Krone”, the message from the school reached the parents via email on Monday morning at 5:00 am. The bomb threat was made on Monday and for safety reasons the school in Vienna-Penzing will not hold classes.
The school will be tested again on Monday
Although the emergency services were unable to discover any suspicious objects on Monday night, they must check again during the day to be sure whether anything suspicious has been observed.
“We assume that it is a fake email, we think that school can go back to normal on Tuesday. We will inform you about this on Monday afternoon,” reads the email from the director of AHS-Wienwest to the parents.
