In a short message on its Telegram account, the Islamic insurgent coalition this Monday asked the millions of Syrians who were forced to leave their country to return to “contribute to building the future.” After taking power in Syria, he issued several statements pledging tolerance toward followers of various sects and confessions in the country, and warning their members to avoid mistreatment or attacks on civilians.

In this context, he reaffirmed that “there is coordination to meet the leaders of the military operations (of the HTS), and that there is no objection to the meeting with Abu Mohamed al Jolani,” the top leader of the Islamic alliance.

Israel has taken advantage of the fall of Al Assad to bomb regime military targets in Damascus, including military airports and weapons depots, according to Syrian media and activist groups.

In addition, Israel yesterday deployed its troops to the demilitarized border area, in Syrian territory, and ordered locals in five municipalities, including Quneitra, the provincial capital, to stay at home for safety while they face the insurgents. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar assured this Monday that the presence of Israeli troops in the demilitarized zone on Syrian territory is “limited and temporary”, a necessary step for security reasons given the confusion prevailing in Syria following the fall of the Bashar. the al-Assad regime.
