A dog owner was surprised by the supposedly delicious find that her four-legged friend brought to the municipality of Poggersdorf in Carinthia.
A few days ago, during a walk between Leibsdorf and Wabelsdorf, the dog had discovered several pieces of meat, which horrified the woman.
Surgical needles are stuck in the flesh
Because some cuts of meat, including pig hearts of various sizes, eyes and rind, were sewn up with surgical thread. Some surgical needles were still in the flesh. If the dog had eaten it, it probably would have died of pain.
According to the vet these are pig hearts
“I made a report to the police. The pieces of meat were pinned and handed over to the official veterinarian,” said the shocked finder. According to the vet, someone may have practiced making surgical stitches with the pig’s hearts. Why this person just threw the pieces of meat, yarn and needles into the woods is a mystery. Professional removal would have been his job. The police are investigating.
