Flights take place every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from April to October. Cork is the second most populous city in Ireland, after Dublin, and the third on the island after Belfast.
The company Air Lingus will connect Bilbao with the Irish city Cork in the summer of 2025 – the season starts in the spring –, as reported on Tuesday by Bilbao Airport’s route development committee.
The route will have three weekly frequencies (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) and will operate from April to Octoberwhich covers almost the entire summer season. It will be operated with A320 aircraft with a capacity of 174 seats. Cork is the second most populous city in Ireland, after Dublin, and the third on the island after Belfast.
Loiu Airport is already adding several new routes for the summer season: two weekly flights to Stockholm (Norway), another two to Copenhagen (Denmark) and a further three weekly flights to New York (United States).
The Airport Route Committee acts as a discussion partner between the airlines and the various administrations of Euskadi to guide them in their growth or implementation.
