An electric vehicle suddenly caught fire in Piesendorf (Pinzgau) on Thursday evening. A firefighter noticed the incident and was able to prevent it from getting worse.
The firefighter discovered the burning vehicle in front of a residential building and immediately alerted his colleagues. When the fire brigade arrived on the scene, a second electric car was already on fire. The parked car was completely burned out, the police reported in a press release.
However, the emergency services were able to quickly get the fire under control and prevented the flames from spreading to the facade of the house. Both vehicles were transported to a storage facility by a towing service. There were no injuries.
There was material damage of an unknown amount. The police are investigating how the fire started.
