A 25-year-old from Innviertel and a 43-year-old German allegedly sold 14 kilos of drugs near a trendy bar in St. Pantaleon with the owner’s permission. The drug – mainly amphetamine – is said to have been stored in the building. After the death of the owner, the heavenly conditions for the two dealers came to an end. Both are now in custody.
The two suspects are said to have shared the drug trade ‘brotherly’. The 25-year-old acted inside the bar, the German (43) outside. The restaurant owner allegedly gave the two permission to do this, and the bouncers were apparently also aware. The drug was also allowed to be stored in the bar’s offices.
New ownership remained restrictive
When the restaurateur died, the general terms and conditions suddenly changed. The new café owner no longer allowed drug trafficking. The dealers’ activities therefore shifted outward.
Police investigators eventually managed to catch the 25-year-old with amphetamine, MDMA and crystal meth. He was arrested. In addition, more than 1.5 kilos of drugs were intercepted that had been delivered to him by post. In total, he appeared to have trafficked 14 kilos of narcotics, including at least 7 kilos of amphetamine.
Fisherman’s hut as drug bunker
His accomplice, the 43-year-old German, was also convicted. He is said to have used a remote fishing hut in Maria Schmolln as a drug bunker. He was arrested on the basis of a European arrest warrant. Drugs were seized during a search of his home in Germany. Both suspects are now in custody in Ried prison.
