A chatter of voices can be heard from the second floor of the FraDomo nursing home in Feldkirchen an der Donau. Friederike Taubinger clearly has a lot to say. She bakes Christmas cookies with Maria Traxler and is completely satisfied. “It’s like a five-star hotel, I’ll never leave here. I’m 98 years old, I can’t do much anymore, but I like everything here. The sisters are so kind and helpful, and that means a lot.” Words that are balm for the soul of Adele Wakolbinger.
