House sales grow by 69% in the BAC and by 13% in Navarra in October

In the month of October, 2,517 house purchases and sales operations were carried out in the Basque Autonomous Community, and 697 in Navarre. The Spanish state has registered 69,418 operations, the highest number in one month in almost 17 and a half years.

The purchase and sale of housing in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) grew by 69.7% in October compared to the same month in 2023, in a context characterized by the downward path of interest rates that makes mortgage financing cheaper.

While the CAV is the fourth community in the Spanish state where it has increased the most, Navarra is the last, with 13.9%.

According to data published this Monday by the National Statistical Institute (INE), 2,517 house purchases and sales transactions were carried out in the Basque Autonomous Community in October, of which 1,940 used home52.63% more than a year ago. For its part, the new housea market in which 577 transactions were formalized saw a year-on-year increase of 172.16%.

Operations in the market free housing have reached 2,248, which represents an increase of 63.01% compared to October 2023. In the protected housing 269 ​​sales and purchases were registered, which exceeds the figures of the same month last year by 158.65%.

In Navarre, a total of 697 transactions were registered in October, an increase of 13.9% compared to the same month last year.

On the other hand, house sales in the Spanish state rose by 51.3% in October compared to a year earlier, the biggest increase since August 2021, and 69,418 transactions were registered, the highest figure in one month in almost 17 and a half year. years.
