Johannes Seidel recently became a Catholic priest in Imst in Tyrol. The father of two children told ‘Krone’ about his adventurous path to the priesthood. A religious lesson that did not take place played a role.
The priest serves coffee. A good one, a strong one! “Sitting together and talking, listening to people, answering their questions – because they have questions.” Johannes Seidel is an employee in the Imst parish and thinks out loud about what moves him as a pastor. Listening, offering help with questions – these terms come up again and again. “It doesn’t bother me when people stay away from church. But I see that many people are searching and are grateful if they can ask questions,” says Seidel about his observations.
