Science, presented in a child-friendly, trendy way in around 120 videos, reels, TikToks and short films, can now be found on the FÄKT channel – for moderator Julia that is still not enough. “I can’t imagine life without FÄKT! Imagine,” says the young student, “wherever I am – in the back of my mind I always think: that could be a cool idea for FÄKT too! are.”
“We want to transfer knowledge to young people, but in times of TikTok and the like, science also has to adapt,” says Julia, “and here comes FÄKT! in the game.” This is the new science communication project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW): Together with colleague Marie-Sophie “Miso”, Julia accompanies the short videos for social media – in a way that is suitable for children and young people.
